How to Increase the Speed of a Cycloidal Motor
Dec 31, 2024| The cycloidal motor is commonly used in current applications. For optimal performance, it is essential to correctly process and assemble the hydraulic system. The installation surface of the hydraulic valve on the oil block should be flat and smooth, and the sealing surface of the groove must be carefully finished to avoid radial scratches. The connection between the hydraulic valve and the oil block, as well as the preload on the connection between oil blocks, should be sufficient to prevent separation of the surface layers.
How can the speed of a cycloidal motor be increased? Here's what Jining and Qi Hydraulic Machinery Co., LTD. recommends:
Increasing the flow rate of the cycloidal motor can certainly improve its speed. However, this adjustment may affect the service life of the motor to some extent. If the flow remains within the motor's rated power range, it will not pose a problem. But if the oil pressure exceeds the rated pressure and the speed increases beyond the motor's capacity, the service life will inevitably be reduced-similar to overeating, which can damage the stomach.
Speed improvements through increased flow are limited. For example, if the speed increases from 500 to 900, it is advisable to consider switching to a different motor model. Once the flow of a cycloidal hydraulic motor reaches a certain level, the speed will no longer increase uncontrollably. Instead, internal oil pressure and leakage will rise, leading to a drop in efficiency or even motor damage.
